Product Description Part of Gilmour's Spray Doc line of sprayer accessories, this wand comes with an adjustable nozzle for fine misting to stream spraying. The wand expands from 16 to 30 inches with a series of adjustable valves, allowing you to spray weeds, trees, and hanging baskets that extend beyond your reach. Although convenient, the valves that allow for lengthening can be confusing, and you must remember to tighten all valves to hold the telescoping position and loosen all valves to fit the shafts within each other once you've finished. The poly construction and viton seals are chemical-resistant and noncorrosive for extra-long durability, and Gilmour offers a free replacement policy for all Spray Doc sprayer parts.

Obviously four gallons of any fluid it going to be heavy so if you are not fairly strong you won't be able to fill it up and put it on your back. I use it out in the woods by myself so rest it on a truck bumper so I can wrestle the harness onto my shoulders. The equipment is well-built and durable. If there is a down-side to this product it is the harness. The instructions don't clearly point out how the harness should be fun through the little adjustment clips so the harness slipped a couple of times and the sprayer fell off my back a couple of times. Once I finally figured out that I had to run the strap back through the clips to create more tension it worked fine. It is easy to keep the pressure up and the adjustable brass nozzle is easy to adust for fine spray or long distance, easily 30 or 40 feet.

THE SPRAYER DOES SPRAY. WITH THAT SAID....IF YOU HAVE A LARGE AREA TO SPRAY YOU MUST WALK CIRCLES TO BUILD PRESSURE TO SPRAY ENTIRE AREA. THERE IS NOT ANYWAY TO PUMP TO BUILD PRESSURE BUT TO WALK AND WALK AND WALK.IF SPRAYING A LARGE AREA THERE SHOULD BE SOME ALTERNATIVE WAY TO BUILD PRESSURE.I WAS DISSAPPOINTED. THE SPRAYER WILL SIT IN SHED, VERY SORRY I BOUGHT. I BOUGHT DUE TO JUST HAVING NECK SURGERY AND I AM NOT ABLE TO CARRY A HEAVY SPRAYER.

It was only an $8.00 item and I may have screwed up by assumeing that it fit the sprayer it was advertised next to,its return would not offset postage. So I guess i'll cut it in two and see if some hose and clamps will transform it into somthing useful! Never again.

I have a paver driveway which requires periodic spraying (approx twice a year) to get rid of the weeds and grass that sprout up between the cracks. I use a non-selective herbicide for this purpose, so I need to be very careful to avoid having any spray mist land on my grass (it doesn't take much to kill the grass accidently). This extendable sprayer does the trick nicely, as it allows me to put the spray tip very close to the survace of my driveway (without bending over), and avoid having any spray end up on the grass. This item is made of plastic, however, so it's not that durable. I had one break (exact same item) after being used about 5 or 6 times, so with my recently-purchased replacement, I will be sure to handle it gently. For the price, though, this item is a good buy, even without being very durable. I have a big driveway, and without this extandable wand to make bending over unnecessary, my back would be killing me. This wand allows me to stand up straight, and still have the tip of the wand be about an inch from the surface of the driveway.

wish the end of the nozzle was a wider spray, since i am killing weeds in the yard,it works o.k.
